The GOP nominee told King that he thinks it’s “unlikely” Russia has launched an effort to disrupt the 2016 U.S. presidential election. “Maybe the Democrats are putting that out, who knows,” he said. “But I think that it’s pretty unlikely. But, you know, who knows? I hope that if they are doing something that somebody’s going to be able to find out so they can end it because that would not be appropriate at all.” Trump, meanwhile, contended that the United States should’ve never gone to war in Iraq or gotten out the way it did — something which he said helped spark the so-called Islamic State. Although he wouldn’t detail his plans to address ISIS, Trump pledged to “straighten out” the region if sent to the White House.
